Waynesburg man charged with burglarizing uncle’s home

A Waynesburg man was arrested after allegedly stealing more than $200 from his uncle after illegally entering his home early Thursday morning. Christopher Farkas, 26, was arraigned Thursday before Greene County District Judge David Balint. About 6:21 a.m., according to charging documents, Waynesburg police were dispatched to a residence on Greene Street, where Farkus’s uncle had reported his nephew loitering outside the property. When Waynesburg Patrolman Nathan Hamilton returned to the house after a follow-up 911 call, the uncle said “$200 and change” was missing from his wallet, police said.
