Farmington resident pleads guilty to distributing child sex abuse material

1 min read

A Farmington man pleaded guilty to distributing videos of minor children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.

Nathan Fike, 41, sent the videos to an undercover FBI agent in October 2023, according to a release from the U.S. attorney’s office. When federal agents executed a search warrant at Fike’s home, they found additional videos and photos of young children.

Fike will be sentenced in June, and faces a minimum of five years in prison, with a maximum of 20 years. He can also be fined up to $250,000.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
